OUR  LOCATION

Zihuatanejo is a growing town of around 90,000 inhabitants on a section of the Pacific Coast called the Costa Grande in the state of Guerrero, Mexico. The tourist resort of Ixtapa is located 5 kilometers to the northwest. There is an international airport just south of the town with daily flights to major cities in Mexico and the USA. It is also about a four and a half hour drive from the cities of Acapulco to the southeast as well as Morelia to the north.

Las Palmas is located in a coconut grove near La Ropa Beach, the most beautiful beach in Zihuatanejo, where several small luxury hotels and a nice variety of seafood restaurants and beach bars are located in a family environment.

Las Palmas is located on the main road between the northern and southern ends of La Ropa Beach, within easy walking distance to the southern part of the beach. Bus and taxi stands are located nearby.

Surrounded by hills, Zihuatanejo Bay offers protection from the occasional tropical storms during our rainy season from mid-May through November. So while tropical sea breezes are common and refreshing, high winds that can batter locations on the open coastline are greatly buffered before reaching the sheltered location of Las Palmas.
