Into Zih Light

The tranquility that characterizes Zihuatanejo during this time of year right before the summer vacation period is something my wife and I appreciate very much. The ocean has been almost like glass here inside the bay much of the time. There are no crowds anywhere except the weekend warriors looking for ecstasy at the beach. Even the weather has been calm for us in Zihuatanejo Bay as summer storms blow past on all sides while we barely get a light sprinkle here in the bay.

But in another week or so when schools let out this all changes until mid-August as beachgoers arrive from the inland cities seeking sun, sand and surf.

So we're enjoying the peace and tranquility while it lasts.

Yesterday during the early evening there were still some families on the beach enjoying our tranquil waters and perfect weather. Simply idyllic.

This morning has remained mostly cloudy and relatively cool for us, allowing locals to get a little bit more done before the sun burns through and the summertime heat returns.
