La Barra de Potosi, 9-15-2017

We had strong breezes (moderate wind) off and on all night and rain and thunder and vicious lightning off and on all night. The lagoon is not open and the "backside" of the pueblo is not accessible.

Oh, the big news downtown is the second major street is being paved! There are 3 streets running East-West. One was paved several months ago and now the second will soon be finished. Such is progress.

Pavement in La Barra de Potosí is the opposite of "progress". The shell and sand streets at least drained when it rained. The cement streets they're building don't come with drainage. But there will be no shortage of vehicles racing up and down them at high speeds. I've seen this movie many times.
