Beauty and Zih Beast

It's been raining at least a little almost every night, and a huge storm just barely missed us as it passed by just a couple of miles off our coast last evening. So my wife and I are hoping our local government will do something besides pose for photo ops giving dádivas to the poor to induce their vote. Since they won't fix the roads and they won't fix the piers and they won't fix the Paseo del Pescador, all used by thousands of locals and visitors daily, we're not very hopeful they'll fix this huge socavón that's been forming in La Boquita canal, but I thought I would take the time to bring it to their attention anyway at least for the public record so we'll have grounds to sue when the next large rain breaks through the canal and causes extremely serious damage to our section of downtown. It's ironical that the parents of the students at the Vicente Guerrero Escuela Primaria (the yellow building to the right with the protest banner hanging on the entrance gate) are currently staging protests to have the old section of the school torn down and replaced while right across the street there is an even bigger threat to the physical safety of their beloved little angels and the school they attend, if not also to their very homes, depending on where they live. Maybe the local government will surprise us and take care of this problem before it becomes a disaster. Not holding my breath, though.
