MegaCable change...at Catalina too

For the past two days we've had 80channels down snow at Catalina. We do get channel 2. I have not checked channel 79. As far as I know all of the rooms have small megacable boxes that are not connected. I tried the box briefly the other night and got a bunch of music channels,but little else. On the chance that it might be aa addressable box I hooked it up this am and will see if anything has happened. The folks at Catalina, while they know there is a change, do not otherwise have any idea what is going on.

Maybe they really are doing this the hard way and installing scrambling filters at strategic locations. If I lose my signal I will cancel my account. I do not want any more boxes, and most of what I watch comes via internet nowadays. There are affordable alternatives that offer multi-TV usage in your home without charging extra. The Megacable folks are way behind the times and their customer service not so efficient.
