MegaCable change...

We only have one TV, so multiple boxes isn't an issue with us. Our cable went from the wall directly into the back of the TV, and we had what Timmac was describing. Snow on all but two channels and running the autoprogramming didn't work. This would be a nightmare for hotels. It's enough of a scramble for residential service. The Megacable office was packed with people, some leaving with boxes and a blank look on their faces - hopefully someone will help them install the box - no instructions come with it. From various cousins and neighbors - if you had cable installed new in the last month or so it was installed with a box. If you already had cable service (like us), no notice of a change coming. Nobody gave you a box when you were in the office paying your bill the week before. Nothing - just one day snow and nobody answering the phones to get any kind of technician out. Still love living here. (and thanks for the tip about calling the INE credential.)
