Not Feeling The Love

I'm not really interested in getting in a heated debate....just thought I'd shed some light.

FYI the restaurant in the complex will be a JV with a local Zihua national and I'm not certain anybody said that the rental agency wouldn't be based in Zihua. And, as another commenter mentioned, it's entirely possible that the owners association may ultimately decide that they don't want an outside agency to run the rentals. At the end o the day, the choice will be with the unit owners

As far as quality jobs, the architect is ZIha based as is the engineer the legal council and the accountants All senior staff live in Zihua and the builder is a Mexican entity that built the neighbouring Embarc.

Yes, there are menial jobs associated with a building like this. However, I suspect if you asked the people working on the site, they're likely glad to have the work.

Having being around Zihua for quite some time, I'm surprised that you're not happy that the project is moving forward;

I’m not feeling the love.

As a Zihuatanejo citizen who loves this community very much, I was much happier when the Sotavento was a hotel that was popular with locals and tourists. In general hotels tend to generate better jobs and income for our community than condos.

I’m trying to keep an open mind, but your reply does not inspire confidence. I see a cold calculator interested only in jostling for position to suckle what it can from the Zihuatanejo cash cow, justifying the few menial jobs it might provide as “better than nothing,” a rationalization I don’t share. Your neighbors at the Catalina are folks who give much back to the community and have earned much respect among locals which is why it remains a favorite place to recommend. I am unaware of any condo development here that is comparable.
