Zih Misterio

Lots of odd stuff going on behind the scenes. Some good and some bad. Can't talk about the bad at the moment, but the good is that the State of Guerrero government apparently has the money for the reconstruction of our municipal pier. So that's back on the table, and once all the bigwigs divvy up the pie to everyone's satisfaction we should have a new pier in the works.

Still plenty of fuel locally, but hundreds of gas stations across the country were apparently selling huachicol according to the bean counters who after all these years finally found the right beans to count. This whole fuel theft deal would make a good Hollywood drama-thriller-action movie. Glad to see our president tackle this monster. More big dogs are expected to fall as this drama unfolds. Carlos Romero Deschamps has been looking real nervous lately. Where DID all his wealth come from?

The ranks of Canadians and gringos in town are really swelling. Restaurants and charter captains are all busy right now. Seeing a lot of familiar faces, and many of my clients have been all smiles lately as their business picks up.

Of course, our absolutely PERFECT WEATHER also helps put smiles on faces.

And did I mention I'm The Luckiest Gringo in Mexico? B-)

There's no place like home...

Slow but steady progress on the refurbished walkway.
