Noise fest

"Hola. Anyone been to the concha to watch carnival? Wow. Wow. What a joke. Wall to wall people and the music was so loud you could literally feel it. At first glance it looked very culturally interesting, but the music was deafening. Sat at the bar Barracruda. It is about a block away. The music there is too loud for me, but it couldn't be heard above the noise from la concha. What is the infatuation for loud music? Is it to cover up poor musical ability? We had just come from Sixteenos on the La Ropa road listening to Don Scott's blues. Very nice. What a difference."

The noise could be easily heard as far away as the sitio de taxi en la colonia de La Noria, probably the equivalent of around 10 blocks away.

The db and sound pressure limits indicated by the established Environmental Norms are not enforced.

The tens of thousands of watts power house sound systems used at some public events are most definitely overkill and I.M.O. just aren't necessary.
