The smell of fresh ground locally grown coffee brewing and the smell of fresh baked pastries from the bakery a few doors away combine each morning at our home to create an olfactoric oasis for us to revel in. I never get tired of these wonderful smells that I've loved all my life.

The weather is warming, and nights now require a bit more fan and a lot less sheets. Satellite images show the tropical convergence zone forming up off the southern coast of Mexico, but still not quite developed, and the prevailing winds still don't yet favor rains apart from a few isolated sprinkles.

The mar de fondo is persisting. Three tourists drowned at different beaches in a one week period. So sad for their families and friends.

Last night a meteorite seen by lots of folks throughout central and western Mexico apparently landed near Uruapan. Or was it a North Korean dud?

What's wrong with this picture?

The humidity has arrived. All that's missing is the rain.
