Sunshine with my Zih

Man oh man do I love a rainy day Sunday! Formula 1 and IndyCar racing. Wimbledon. Tour de France. Cricket World Cup. A day to play indoors with the grandkid and my marvelous wife with whom I fall deeper in love countless times each and every day.

Unfortunately for many of the tourists here, since we have no pier the mar de fondo meant no water taxis to Playa Las Gatas. Don't know if they also closed the pier at Playa Linda.

The pier work is on hold until the crane for removing the pilings can be repaired or replaced. They broke it.

Today is a lovely day with big puffy clouds, deep cerulean skies and perfect temps. Yes, it is going to be muggy, and yes, there are going to be mosquitos. Apparently the city isn't currently spraying when we need it the most.

How odd to see it raining like this in July during the dates associated with La Canícula, traditionally our hottest time of the year. Usually we get rains in June then next to nothing during July. Weather is all screwed up.

What a treat and a privilege to wake up to this this lovely scene this morning. The sand was still dark and damp from the rains of the previous two days. Good for the palm trees.
