CFE question

We have monitored daily, at times every-other day, our CFE electricity meter for 18 months and have determined daily usage of 7-10 KW. We have documented the dates of all readings since December 2017.

Sunday morning, Aug. 25, we noticed that the meter jumped 316 KW from our reading Friday morning, Aug. 23. After the usual 30-40 min. telephone hold, the CFE rep blew us off, telling us, "we must have used the electricity as it certainly was not CFE's problem, and that we needed to provide a photo of the meter reading for both days." That rankled us even more, so my husband went to the CFE office to complain today, but there was a HUGE line. He returned home to call again to report a faulty meter.

Any suggestions?
