A walk along the waterfront to relax after a long day's work was just what Lupita and I needed. Okay, the cerveza hit the spot, too. Daniel's Restaurant was doing a brisk business, and we were greatly pleased to see Joe's Café Marina at Casa Marina on the other side of the plaza was also open for dinner and doing a good business. Saw our dear friend Memo there, back for another extended vacation as he has done for decades. Good to see him and so many other folks back, and great to see the restaurants doing well. A couple of our favorite places. Large groups of tourists still in their bathing suits were coming back from Las Gatas, so our walk towards the pier was a bit like trying to swim upstream. Lots of suntanned happy faces among the mostly large families. We love seeing them.

Not even the wail of the banshee at the karaoke bar next to Coconuts could keep us awake last night. Lupita and I slept soundly, exhausted from the day. The evening a bit on the warm side and humid like it wanted to rain, but the rainy season always ends the same way it starts. Teasingly.

Ya gotta get to the market early if you want the best fish.

Another boring picture of dawn over Zihuatanejo Bay.
