Mexican Citizenship Information

For anyone interested in becoming a Mexican citizen, I'd like to share a little website that I made:

Quiero Ser Mexicano - Mexican Naturalization

I applied last year and it turned out to be much more challenging than I expected. In 2018 they changed the test and for most people who didn't grow up in Mexico it is very difficult now.

As a hobby project I put together this website as I was studying. It has a few tools to help memorize what you need to know for the exam, including flashcards, a timeline of presidents, a quiz to help memorize the key points of each article of the constitution, practice tests, and a few other things like that. I also wrote a couple of articles sharing everything I learned about the process, which you can find on the information page.

I hope it is useful for someone, and I would very much appreciate feedback from anyone who is interested in applying for citizenship what you like or don't like about the site, any errors, other features that might be useful, or anything at all.

Wow, Scott! Pretty dang awesome! I found a typo but I lost it. But then while I was trying to find it again I found another one. "Year of the Constitution of Apatizingan" should say Apatzingan.

I could spend hours seeing what all I don't know. You've really done a thorough job. Very impressive. ¡MUCHÍSIMAS GRACIAS! I'll have to find a place to add it to my website. Really good stuff!

I can't stress the importance of being fluent in Spanish.

I had to sing the Himno Nacional during my interview, which I had made a point to learn. But after a few questions I blurted out "no manches, güey" and everyone cracked up and the interview was basically over and I got my Carta de Naturalización, my pride and joy. I was reborn that day!

¡Viva México!
