As of today Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 1,253 confirmed cases of Covid-19, 87 that resulted in fatalities, 48 that are currently active, and approximately 1,036 that have recovered.

There appear to still be quite a few tourists around for this time of year. Probably because schools aren't open and families that can are taking advantage of it.

A huge BRAVO to the women in Zihuatanejo who participated in the march today to LEGALIZAR EL ABORTO. It still isn't legal in Guerrero and many other states for a woman to get an abortion if she needs one. There was also a huge protest in Mexico City by women from other parts of the country. Mexico City is one of the few places where it is legal to get an abortion.

The light rain last evening really cooled things down just as it's doing again this evening. This is extremely mild weather for September, but I don't see anyone here complaining about not having hurricanes and tropical storms thrashing us.
