Cada Día ZIHmplemente Perfecto

Zihuatanejo currently registers 27 active cases of Covid-19, which means there's likely 3 times that many cases, but even so it's not bad for our community. Currently only one gravely ill 15-year-old is in the Covid-19 section of our Hospital General.

Even though Guerrero is under Semáforo Verde, the draconian beach rules continue, rules that sure appear to be designed to keep poorer people and anyone with pets off certain beaches and designed to force anyone who goes to the beaches to use the restaurants. I strongly disagree with these rather stupid rules that appear to have nothing to do with health protocols and everything to do with paying political favors. While it would appear irresponsible of me to tell folks to defy them, if I decide to go to any beach I sure as hell will defy them (and already do), and I pity the poor public servant who hassles me for exercising my constitutional rights (beaches in Mexico are supposed to be accessible to the public). Anyone else who feels they should be able to sit on the beach in their own chair with their own umbrella and drink anything they like out of any container they like is urged to record any incidents and post them on the social media. I honestly believe that's really all that's needed to put an end these draconian politically motivated and counterproductive measures. We need to show that it hurts tourism instead of allowing the government to continue getting away with telling folks its for public health.

Come enjoy our beaches the way they SHOULD be enjoyed. We need to write our own rules! B-)

Late afternoon at Playa Principal. A scene that encompasses part of what Zihuatanejo is all about!
