Yes if one looks around some of the palleterias have that flavour, but it's also good in a liquado. I'm just going to cut it open and chow down. Pretty exotic treat. Texture like avocado. Meat is orangey-pink and very aromatic and flowery. Never see them in Canada.This one was sold by a fellow off of a wheelbarrow outside the mercado.

I am not being critical, so please don't take it that way. But Hamaica is spelled Jamaica. Kind of cool word origin considering it's an island country plus the fact that it's Spanish for hibiscus.

Mamey is my favorite flavor of Gelato!
