Last night in La Barra d Potosi

About 11 p.m. we had a real frog drowneder. Came out of nowhere, calm and quiet and pouring for upwards of an hour.

Good visibility with high clouds and calm this morning.

Can't believe how nice the weather has been. Less breezes but very cool at night especially. C'mon down!

We had one come though here in Minnesota last evening.

Temp went from 83 to 60 in 20 minutes.

Raining ash here in the Portland metro area. Shades of Mt. St. Helens. Yesterday and today the sunlight has been other-worldly.

My daughter in Eastern MT says they are getting a lot of smoke there also.

Here in the Bitterroot the smoke is awful. One fire south of us and another, the Lolo fire is not expected to be out until October! Add to that smoke from fires in Canada, Washington and Oregon, breathing is getting difficult.

According to the news in YYC, this is the worst summer for smoke since 1969. Mind you, when you think of the hours we spent drinking in smoke filled bars in the mid 60's the forest fire smoke seems almost healthy. Lol.

Very smoky here on the Island today. Limited visibility.
Was just at Buffalo Lake AB for a month and usually we all troop down to the dock to watch the beautiful sunsets every night, but not this year!
