We pay for a month to month contract with Telmex. Costs us 450 pesos per month and we can change it anytime.

Hromero, do you own or rent? We rent 3 months and have to sign up for 6 months with Telmex. Would like to pick your brain on this since we would rather pay for 3 months instead of 6.

We currently rent and have been for the last 8 months. We have been paying for a package from Telmex even though we don't use the landline phone. Below is a link that shows some of the packages. If you click on the terms and conditions and read through you will see that that there aren't any long term contracts.

How long does it take for Telmex to reactivate your internet when you return to Mexico? Do you also have a landline that you reactivate? We have been paying year round even though we are gone for 5 months of the year because we didn't want a long wait to get back on the system.

that is the question, isn't it? in the previous years, we disconnected, then three years and two years ago, I couldn't get anyone from Telmex to show up without paying the 1400 peso bribe and the waiting time. seems better to just leave it connected

I have recently had a poor experience with Telmex dsl, now only works at my house in colonia Las Mesas when demand is low like very early in the day. I may switch to megacable.
