My wife was riding her bike on a back road here in Troncones and her chain came off. A young man suddenly came out of nowhere and in Spanish asked her "May I help you" ? And he adroitly did so. Keep your heads up folks ;-)...

This reminds me of an exchange on this board several years ago.

A gringo asked what he should do if he wandered into a “wrong neigbourhood” in Zihuatanejo.

Rob’s suggestion was to ask a person on the street for directions to the “right neighborhood” and continue on one’s way. :)
