Greetings Zihuatanejo!

I would like to introduce myself - my name is Jennifer. I currently split my time between Quadra Island BC Canada and Morelia (though I am actually moving to Patzcuaro tomorrow morning). As my parents and many friends live part-time in Zihuatanejo, I spend a lot of time there, and have been organizing tours over the past few years for guests who come up to stay at Casona Rosa B&B in Morelia. These tours have expanded beyond the day-tours around the Lake Patzcuaro Region, and are now including some larger adventures to places such as the Copper Canyon and Guanajuato/Zacatecas/San Luis Potosi region.

I would prefer not to post promotions on Facebook pages, or here - so thought it best to simply ask those of you who are interested in knowing about our tours - please send me your name and email address, so I can add you to our newsletter. (I will never send you more than 1 newsletter per month - and doubt I will ever send that many!).

Our tours include La Ruta Don Vasco (Lake Patzcuaro area), Dia de los Muertos and Semana Santa. We are also working on a series of butterfly tours for the winter that will be guided by butterfly research scientist Dr Pablo Jaramillo Lopez. We are working with Jose Luis of Zihuatanejo tours - and a number of guides in the Morelia area - so if you arrive by bus, we can help you just as easily as if you would prefer private transportation from Zihuatanejo.

Here is my newest newsletter - if this interests you, please drop me your email address and I can add you to my mailing list! My email is info@soulofmexicotours.com

We did a fantastic week tour with Jen to see the butterflies a year ago. Our trip included time in Urapapan, Patzcuaro, Morelia, Santa Rosa(butterflies) and ended at Teotihuacan in Mexico City. Highly recommended

The first time we went to Morelia, we stayed at the Rosa B&b. We came the last of October not realizing the butterfly reserves were close. There was a taxi driver/tour guide that worked with Rosa and the guest(Jesus who spoke very good English). He took us to the villages between Morelia and Patzquaro. What a wonderful Experience. In one of the first villages we went to a famous Mexican Artist's home and studio, he had a church set up to display his paintings. I believe his name was Juan Moralis (spelling not so sure)- his daughter did designer purses and took us down stairs under her fathers studio to see her works of art(was glad the ATMs in Morelia were not working because of the student strike. We went back in January and Jesus took us to the Reserve. We really fell in love with Morelia.

His daughter took us into his home and the his studio. He had 3 different size easels on the right side and Kathie asked about them. She replied, when he was in the mood would do 3 paintings at the same time and each one different. On the left side was a antique piano and was told he was a concert pianist. We will never forget how gracious the daughter was- she invited us to her purse showing on Saturday and we told her we were catching the bus to Ixtapa. We felt it was a privilege to be able to look at the paintings in the Church with some crated up to ship all over the world and then be invited into their studios in the home.
