Mientras en Zih

Before the time in the USA changed last Sunday we were on U.S. Mountain Time here after changing our own time on the last Sunday in October, so for a week I got to watch Steven Colbert at 9:35 PM and I could still enjoy our national news at 10:30 PM. I always enjoy that week.

Work has resumed at the pier, and when we went by there this morning we could see a couple more pilings set. The new Flexifloats appear to be in much better condition, and as long as they aren't left bouncing off the bottom at the shoreline they should hold up for the rest of the construction. Storms and big waves damaged the old ones.

There was relatively little activity at the mercado de los pescadores this morning. It looked like many of them didn't fish last night. Don't know why. There weren't any storms around. We got there fairly early but there were slim pickins.

A sportfishing panga awaits customers while another zooms out of Las Salinas Lagoon in front of Cerro El Almacén.
