Refresh my memory on doggy travel

I know what we need, the only thing I can't recall is the time period between getting health certificate and entering Mexico. We've done this so many times so I'm going to blame my aged-ness. :-]

Thanks for you help.

Normally get a vet exam referenced on the correct report form within 10 days of travel. Best to confirm with your airline.

Alaska is not flying pets in cargo for the" foreseeable future"

Thank you, Casa Juan. We will be on United from KC thru Houston. The pup is turning 14 this week, there's a good chance it will be his 11th and final trip to the playa, so we have to make it extra good.

Thanks again.

Hola
Please remember that you vet certificate must state that your mutt has had treatment for internal and external parasites. It's a new rule and last year we had to get a vet to the airport to give him a shot before he was allowed into Mexico.

Yup, we’ve done that the last two years. The folks at the airport have always been very cool & done everything they can to keep us updated on new requirements.

I’’m going to try a quick trial run without my pup on Volaris out of Tijuana . If it works ok, I’m bringing the pup vía that route 2 weeks later . I’ll let you know if that becomes a viable west coast pet travel option .
