As of today Zihuatanejo has registered a cumulative total of 1,108 confirmed cases of Covid-19, 79 that resulted in fatalities, 35 that are currently active, and 923 that have recovered. Hardly any difference from yesterday. There have been 9 new cases for two consecutive weeks. Let's see how this week goes.

We keep getting some nice light-to-moderate rains during the evenings. Just enough to soak the ground a little bit and hopefully replenish our aquifers. Not quite heavy enough to cause much damage, though mudslides on developed and invaded hillsides where natural vegetation has been cut and natural drainage interrupted always poses risks of landslides, erosion and flooding.

After all his quarantine and social distancing, a vacation in a warm tropical paradise will be just what you need as the temps drop up north. You can avoid the crowds and still vacation here in lovely lodgings from Playa Brisas del Mar (near Puerto Vicente Guerrero) to Barra de Potosí and Playa Blanca/Playa Larga to Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa and Troncones. By the end of October and beginning of November most local lodgings that aren't already operating plan to be by then. Your deposits help them make that possible, so please consider making your reservations now and sending in your deposits as soon as possible. Come back to LIFE with us!

This was a moonrise at dusk from last week. Man oh man aren't we lucky to enjoy scenes like this!
