COVID Testing

I've only re-stepped into the board recently, and I did a site search without success, but has there been any discussion of virus testing for visitors in Zihuatanejo?
If I can get there this fall, I hope to have a swab test before during and after my visit. If important: I would be coming solo and am quite comfortable with the risks and precautions. My wife, God bless her, insists.
Thanks.

I checked with Alaska Airlines to see if they, or Mexico, required a Covid test prior to travel, but they said "NO". Our local hospital/clinic doesn't offer a pre-travel test, so we'd need to drive to Missoula and, I'm told, they are quite expensive.

Testing locally is only done on people who present symptoms. You are of course free to pay for a test at a local lab. I don't know how long they take to get results or what the costs are, but personally I have no wish to have any swabs shoved up my nose just to satisfy any idle curiosity. And from what I understand, getting only one test is still inconclusive and unreliable no matter what the results are.
