Hello. Can anyone tell me whether the Zapotec weaving store (about a block away from the basketball court) is open? I saw some mention that it was permanently closed. I wanted to contact them to see if they could ship me some pillow cushions. Thanks.

Zapotec is located in the corner store next to Joe's Cafe Marina across from where the fishermen display their daily catch. The store sells hand-crafted weavings (by Ino on his loom) and tons of other items.

We had the pleasure of spending a day with Ino and his wife at his home in Valle Teotitlan, Oaxaca. Such a nice humble man.

Thanks! I'm very familiar with this store. Every year I purchase something - bedspreads, wall hangings, and cushion covers. Glad to hear that they're open. I'm not coming to Zihua this year and was hoping to get in touch with the owner and arrange to have cushion covers shipped to me in the US. There doesn't seem to be a website and one photo of the store I ran across had the words "closed permanently" across it. Any contact info would be appreciated. Thanks!
