¿ZIH Que No?

Zihuatanejo currently reports 286 active cases of Covid-19, much more than we've ever had. While the mortality rate doesn't appear to be high, people are still showing up at the hospitals seeking treatment.

If only our local government had built a new modern hospital with the money it's spent on questionable public projects such as the Ciclovía and the Remodelación of Paseo del Pescador. But it didn't hear or heed our pleas, so people are without the medical care they seek while the mayor plays with a silly blue flag at La Ropa Beach and now plans to waste public funds running locals off the beach at Playa La Madera with the same useless political ploy to repay political favors and pander to influyentes. I sense a rebellion coming. I have yet to hear support for the idea from any of my friends or neighbors. Quite the contrary.

We received a nice little smattering of rain during the wee hours this morning. Cooled things down a tad and kept me from having to water our plants today. La Canícula continues. Gotta move real slow to keep from overheating. And drink lots of fluids! Modelo works for me. B-)

No Disneylandish gimmicks needed. Zihuatanejo already has everything a tourist seeking rest, relaxation and natural beauty in Mexico needs.
