I’ve been to Zihua about 10x throughout many yrs missed last yr bec of Covid. We want to go this ye but US has it listed as “do not travel” r.t. crime and kidnapping. I’ve never felt unsafe there. Is anything different? Any reason to worry?
Also, how hard is it to get the Covid test there to return to the US? Thanks in advance for anyone willing to take time to respond.

Been coming here over seven years. Been living here the last two. It's no different. I smile at people here way more than anywhere else I've lived.

Rob's second thread above lists the covid test labs. It's easy. The delta variant's causing numbers to climb right now but the vaccine program seems to be accelerating too. We're in the same race as everywhere else I guess, and how things are come the tourist season depends on people's ability to ignore the soapbox crazies and sociopaths.

My experience is that it is unwise to ignore “soapbox crazies and sociopaths” (and I worked both in corrections and then in a forensic facility). Better to pay attention to them, keep an eye on them, avoid getting pulled into their pathology, and adjust one’s behaviour accordingly.

We have been going down twice a year for the last 10 years or so. We were last down in March of this year. We went to the airport the day before to get our Covid tests and had no problems. We have never felt unsafe in Z. Love it there!
