Supposedly there are 182 registered currently active cases of Covid-19 in Zihuatanejo, though there is very little testing actually done. Most of us here believe the actual number to be three times that. But it is looking like the peak of the spike may have passed, though it's way to soon to tell for sure. The current rate of deaths in Guerrero per 100 confirmed cases of Covid-19 is currently 8. #Vacúnate #UsaCubrebocas

There have hardly been any tourists around in downtown Zihuatanejo since the weekend. Some schools and online classes are starting up, and I believe the local weather with storms predicted along with the Semáforo Rojo in effect have kept many folks away.

The peace and quiet in the evenings with the bars closed and the refreshing rains have made for perfect sleeping. Sheets optional.

Keep an eye on the storm forming up off our coast. We got lucky last weekend, but we could be in for some big rains and waves.

The day started off quite beautifully with hardly a cloud in the sky but ended with a huge albeit brief thunderstorm.
