what is the current status of marijuana possession/consumption in Zihua, both inside one's residence and say on a beach or street for an adult?

I heard it was, due to AMLO, just a smidge away from being legal in small amounts in Mexico. The hypocrisy of Uncle Sam cracking skulls over weed in
Latin America while it is increasingly legal in the States
was getting to be disturbing.

Go get your permit at COFEPRIS. Nothing has changed since my post of June 29: Tormentas, Derrumbes y TransiZIHones

So that begs the question, has anyone on this board actually received a COFEPRIS permit yet? Inquiring minds want to know...

You have to have a CURP number, so that "permit" is only available to citizens and permanent residents. (I looked at the website)

I'm very suspicious of any of these "permit" programs because it looks like a really good way to generate a handy list of people to arrest when legal weed isn't generating enough revenue.

Better to stick with the black market for now. Cheaper, less cumbersome, more reliable, and probably safer.

Residente Temporal qualifies for receiving a CURP.

Yes...I found that out a little while ago.

The discussion on the pros and cons of a "permit" begs the question where does one access a supply in Zihua once a permit is obtained?
