El Mediterraneo may not have the view, but it excells at your other requirements. Your host, Julian, is the epitome of a restrauteur. In addition to stellar service and food, he has managed to add music that adds to the ambiance rather than detracts from it.

Hands down, El Amuleto. In my opinion, best sunsets. Get there for the sunset, grab a drink and then have dinner. It is pricey, and worth it.

What's your favorite special occasion Restaurant?
We celebrated our 29th anniversary at Amuleto last week. I don’t know if there is a fancier place in Zihua.
Food is excellent ( presentation and taste). Service is vert good. We arrived early enough to witness the sunset. It is part of the show. The view is incredibly beautiful. Even for us who enjoy playa La Ropa view, every day.
There is no « a la carte « , only a 3 courses menu with a good choice for a fix price of 1350 pesos / person. The cocktails are around 200 pesos each. 1 liter bottle of water is around 80-90 pesos. We didn’t ordered wine, i don’t know the prices.
I wouldn’t have spent that money if it wasn’t our anniversary. There are so many places with delicious food and view around !
But it was special, kind of magical.
You have to make a reservation.

Great food and absolutely the best view: Amuleto. Closed Tuesdays. Reservations required: 544-6222. Not cheap.

We are bad people and are proud of it!
We usually start our anniversary, or birthdays with our normal mornings on the beach, running the girl dogs and then paddling and swimming.
THEN!!! We find ways to entertain ourselves, doing what we have for years and love it!. Anniversaries, now coming up on 46 years, are something that are private.
Dinner??? Something with yet another bottle of our favorite beverage, and something great that we cook. Take out would be fine also.
Manana? Recovery, champagne, dog beach, whatever. We are beginning yet another wonderful year together!!!!!
