Nothing to report regarding local Covid-19. No cases are reported along the entire Costa Grande. Enjoy yourselves!

¡El calor ha llegado! I don't think today was as bad as Friday, but folks are definitely moving slower and pacing themselves. This is definitely hammock weather. They are the perfect furniture for sitting and resting. Anything else is too hot. Remember to drink plenty of water! 40°C temps and some rains are expected in the coming days for much of Guerrero. Hoping to see thunderheads rise up and come to life with a nice refreshing rain!

The mar de fondo has returned. Its waves don't yet seem quite as large as they got the last time, but massive amounts of water are still rushing against the coast and all coastal structures.

Gotta time that evening shower so the water isn't still too hot from the daytime temps. Too early and you'll be sweating in the shower.

Not sure how many of you appreciate our local tradition of siesta. It still amazes my family when someone calls or stops by between 2 and 5. Folks, the siesta here in Zihuatanejo and this region of the coast is a time when we eat our main meal, rest a bit and spend time with our family. We don't answer the phone or the door, so please don't come a-callin'.

Much thanks to all the good folks who work so hard to feed us and our visitors. Zihuatanejo's restaurant workers do us a solid every single day. We are fortunate for the variety and quality of food we have, though perhaps some of you may disagree. We know many restaurant owners and their families, some for generations. We appreciate their dedication and care. Please let the folks at your favorite restaurants feel the love. They deserve it!
