Pequeno Restaurante Near Airport

Upon leaving Zihua, we had time to get our last fix of Mex food. So checked our bags and left for "Andy's". We saw a nondescript pequeno restaurante on the left with no signage and assumed it was Andy's. They looked surprised to see us...I assume not many gringos go there. We saw a couple of airport workers leaving. They had no menus so they showed us a notepad with what they could make but no prices listed. We had the alambre de pollo y queso. Let me tell you it was amazing! Must of been handmade tortillas b/c they tasted so good! We ordered 2 more orders for the plane and were the envy of many on the flight back. All with beer for 160 pesos! They were so friendly and we had so much fun with them. The teen boy hanging out there tried to help with translation and offered a piece of his pancake to us! Where do you find that kindness? This was the best place we ate at on our vacation or at least close to it. Banditos and Letys were tops.

I have yet to find the recipe online for the simple but great dish. It did have the Oaxaca queso. The tomatoes were cooked with the other veggies but it was not served with a wire skewer as the name suggests.

I hope some of you will be able to drop in there when coming or going from Z.:-D
