Volunteer service opportunities?

Hi again,
I recall earlier posts, but can't find them and suspect they are from the earlier board. We are returning again for two weeks this March, and are curious about volunteer opportunities to be of service. Have seen some requests for items, but my 15 year old daughter would like to be of greater service to Z during our stay, and so would I. We speak limited spanish. Gracias.

I enjoyed volunteer time walking dogs for the humane society in Zihua - www.spazihua.org. They are friendly and you don't need to know Spanish :-) Email them if you are interested to get more details and let them know your dates. The dogs were lovely and the puppies loved to dig in the sand it the shade...its hard to resist bringing one home :-)

Good for you all! Especially nice that your teenager's thinking this way.

-- Library in La Barra de Potosí (lauragecko2@hotmail.com)
-- New senior center (should be a reference somewhere below)
-- Refugio de La Barra?

And/or, you could pitch in, along with lots more of us, just picking up litter as you walk around town. We always carry a couple of small groc. bags and lots of hand sanitizer.

I agree with Jeff. It is so nice to see a teenager who thinks of others and not just themself. Have a great family vacation.

I don't think it is possible to be fortunate enough to visit Z year after year and not have gratitude for those who preserve it for us and so many others, and I'm certain our family is only one of many who have now seen a new generation appreciate this gift.

See you at the pier in March.
