Has Owen Lee got a new business partner?
We were at Las Gatas last week and walked to the end of the beach where we saw a sign with the word "restaurant" and an arrow pointing toward the run down area where Owen used to be. A guy running the little restaurant/bar claims that the owners of La Cala now own this area along with Owen Lee. If that's true, I suspect it is only a matter of time before they gain full control and rape it the way they did Porto Mio. The area now seems to be occupied and shows some signs of being cleaned up.

If you read Owen's book then you'll know the details of how Owen felt obliged several decades ago to sell his soul to the devil in order to live out his life remaining on "his property". The same folks who brought us "Puerto Mío" and "Montecristo", two ecocidal developments, also own Owen Lee's property as well as the property next to his where they had bought originally.
It would make a great movie though with a very sad ending.

They build another jetty creating a little private marina. Of course that will be after they build a road to the point.

I can see it now
We, the people from Zihuatanejo see Rebaque as one of the worst individuals that have ever set foot in Zihua (here we called people like him, LACRAS). Last time we crossed paths I cursed him out like a sailor without remorse for all the crap we has done to our enviroment.
His bodyguards with all his guns were not too happy cause they couldn't do much as some of my buddies, Marines, were near me with full gear 
To say the least he was pissed as I get everytime I see the demage he has done to our bay.
I also think, that many tourist and long time residents, should avoid renting and buying land in that part of town as these actions only encourages him and people like him to keep on raping this sacred land. And of course, he does all of these things with the help of our wonderful politicians.
