Nope, not a troll or an attempt to vent....
Where can I purchase a set of earplugs? Last year someone advised that the dive shop in Ixtapa had excellent, reasonably-priced earplugs, (perhaps intended for diving purposes, but reportedly excellent for general noise reduction too).
I checked last year with the dive shop on Calle Adelita, but they didn't have anything. Don't want to bus all the way over to Ixtapa unless there's a good chance of finding what I need.... and where's the dive shop in Ixtapa anyway?

I am pretty sure some of the construction supply stores in Zihua may have them or even a bigger pharmacy would try construction suppliers first.

Just a few doors down this side of Banana's. He has a whole jar of them. I bought several for my family from him last year. Could well be the Armando that is talked about in the other post.

And about a lot more than ear plugs. I enjoy just stopping in and chatting.

Can't answer your question but can offer up some advice.
I use plugs almost any time noise is above anything considered normal these days... I have my set of ETY ER20's in my pocket now, as I have a sound gig tonight, but mostly I wear "Hearos," the soft, spongy kind. They come in different db levels, Mostly I wear the blue ones which I believe are either -32 or -33 db, somewhere in there. They last quite well and do a great job. $10 for a box of 12 here in Oregeon. If I'm out clubbing and am a little self conscious, I wear the tan ones (cut less db), or the ER20s.

$10 for a box of 12? Hopefully they're the washable, re-useable kind. I had a set of sponge washables that I used every night in Puerto Escondido for almost two months, (there was a disco up the hill that played "music" until 4 am every night but Sunday). I'll try Armando on Nicolas Bravo. Anyone looking to make a killing here in Zihua? Earplugs - a growth industry.

Good point. I believe that was the price for both the blue and tan ones last time I bought them. Probably less than $5.00 each.

" box of 12 here in Oregeon"...is that anywhere near Oregon?LOL
I usually manage to talk a flight attendant on Alaska Airlines out of a pair on the way down. Brand name MAX, noise reduction rating: 33.
