Rental Car Help
Hello all, we are planning our annual visit for a week in late June and are having difficulty in securing a vehicle to rent. As there are 6 of us, 2 adults and 4 small children, we need a minivan or similarly sized vehicle.
Is there something going on at the airport that has caused the onsite rental agencies to close?
Europcar's website will not provide a quote for the airport location, Hertz's site ( I'm aware of the CC problems with Hertz) says we can not return the vehicle to the airport location, other agencies don't show anything larger than a sedan.
Also, if anyone has any insight on how to save on a minivan or Suburban type vehicle your insight would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried Alamo? A couple of years ago we rented a mini-van from them. Alamo has always been great to work with...for us.

Alamo's website didn't list anythng bigger than a sedan.
I checked and noticed that as well. If you send me an email, I'll give you an email address to check with Alamo.
We've found that parking in Zihua is a pain and plan to sell our vehicle here. For trips out of town we use a local with a van. If interested, e-mail me directly for contact information.
