What needs to be done when you arrive via sailboat?

Most of what I saw in the archives was from 2001. There was nothing in the getting here section, so I'm asking because we have friends arriving in the next day or so.
They have come through the Panama Canal and are heading north this is their first stop in Mexico, what do they need to do Port Captain, etc.?

Haven't doe it myself but usual routine is ONLY the Captain can leave the boat and reports to the Port Captain;s office. Be prepared to show all personnel and boat documentation (passports, boat registration, insurance etc). My daughter did it a couple of years ago and she said it was a rather routine process.

First they leave their stash with you at the beach in La Ropa, THEN they go check in with La Capitanía del Puerto.

That's exactly what I do when I leave here for the 3 hr drive to Zihua. La Ropa is a good to re-stash up. Hope to meet you someday!!
