Fire in Zee Sky

by ZihuaRob ⌂ @, Zihuatanejo, México, Saturday, April 08, 2017, 14:36 (19 days ago)

For the past couple of days El Cerro Viejo has been burning, and for the past couple of nights it's gotten fairly smoky here in the downtown area. Doesn't bother me really, but for folks who already have breathing issues it could be a problem. The smoke usually clears away soon after the sun comes out and warms up the land causing a nice offshore breeze, but in the middle of the night when the wind changes direction it brings the smoke back. Looks like it's going to burn for at least another couple of days. There have been other fires adding to the smokiness, so it may be worse in some parts of town than others. Usually the fires and the smoke aren't a problem until May, but because the dryness is extreme this year the fires started early. Rains can't come soon enough! Remember to conserve water!

This is from a few days ago because sunrise hasn't been very pretty recently due to all the smoke.
