Waterfall pools and rock water slides
Hey everyone. These aren't hot springs. They call it an ecological reserve and it seems like it isn't very well known- at least not by tourists - which keeps it a nice little secret spot. The first time I went a local guide took me and then about 2 years ago we went by taxi but I had forgotten the name of it. There are waterfalls cascading into pools but best of all are these naturally formed rock slides that you shoot down and land into pools at the bottom. There are about 3 or 4 pools that step down. The place seems to be looked after by a family and their kids sort of take you through. No one speaks any English so I don't really know what the deal is or how it's operated. Oh - and also there are these sweet little rustic cabins that I guess people could rent. I thought it was pretty magical and surprised that no one seemed to know about it. But Zihua Rob is right. It would be quite hard to find without a guide and the water levels would be low at times. I googled it a couple of years ago and found some home videos on line but couldn't find them this time.
