Too Dry For Zih

All up and down the Costa Grande rivers are running dry, some that have never in contemporary memory completely dried up before.

Locally La Boquita Canal has completely dried up, something I don't ever recall seeing. Residents at La Barra de Potosí say their lagoon has lost over 60% of its volume.

Last night was a bit interesting. Town was full of drunks everywhere, I guess from the fishing tournament and the national soccer league playoff. Around 11:30 or so the lights went out and it started to sprinkle causing the bars to have to close and their customers to have to go home. It was PERFECT, except for the heat and humidity with no fan. It was the first time we've seen lightning this year too, but unfortunately the storms missed us and we just got the sprinkle. We could really use the water since it's been over a week since we've received any agua potable.

But in spite of all of our shortcomings, there is certainly no other place my wife and I would rather be.
