In Progress Trip Observations

Ten days in a few more to go. A couple of observations:

If anyone likes solitude this is the time to come. Playa Larga was deserted with no sight of anyone other than the restaurant workers and a few vendors all day. Same can be said for La Barra, but a few Mexican families enjoying the day. Very pleasant.

The weather has been great with a few showers in the PM. Hot and sunny during the day.

The one downer this trip is it seems to me downtown is getting a bit more boozy and rowdy. Dont get me wrong, i like to puond a few back so not one to chastise but it seems to be turning into a little party town. Sunday and Saturday night at the basketball court was a bit more hectic and not as welcoming as I have observed in the last 20 or so visits. Another instance we were driving near the Bombero station at 4PM or so and passed a parked tour bus. There was a man standing in the middle of the road pissing, facing traffic. Thankfully my 8 year old daughter was looking out the other window. I got rear ended by a drunk while being at a complete stop for 5 minutes due to the 5k run they had going on. And on the way to go fishing at 630AM I passed a bar near Scotia Bank with folks still drinking / passed out and music blaring.

Hopefully just had a run of bad luck but definitely nothing to ruin an other great extended family vacation.

We have been North to Saladita and South to La Barra and points between. Curious what that large building going up on the road between Los Llanos and Saldita. Chicken processing place maybe?
