So Subtly Zih

It was a slow morning in Zihuatanejo. It seemed even the weekend tourist buses were late arriving and locals were standing around twiddling their thumbs and ho-humming waiting for the weekend trippers to arrive. They eventually began trickling in, though seemingly not as many as in past weekends. Locals aren't happy about the municipal government's plans to clear a huge parking lot for them at La Ropa, destroying wetlands and mangroves in the process. As a property owner I sure as hell am not. But the resistance is growing. It seems each successive government is working against locals to cheapen Zihuatanejo and make us all poorer. Not so fast!

My sweetie and I were even late on our stroll down to the pier this morning. ;-)
