I want to remind folks that tomorrow the Eco-Tianguis Zanca celebrates its 4th anniversary. They currently set up each Saturday morning in the small plaza in front of the Vicente Guerrero elementary school across the street from the museum, the same school my wife attended as a child. There are going to be some special events including a photo contest with the theme being paired photos from yesteryear and today. My wife will be posting some entries, so if you're in town be sure to drop on by and look for her photos. Older folks in town will be sure to enjoy them. Newcomers are not likely to recognize most of the older scenes, but I'm sure you'll appreciate them. Truly scenes of a paradise almost lost.

BTW, the original section of the Vicente Guerrero is slated to be demolished sometime in the foreseeable future, so be sure to bring your camera and snap some shots of Zihuatanejo's oldest school before "progress" turns it into nothing but a fading memory.

While I was busting my hump working late yesterday afternoon, my media naranja went for a walk with our beloved chihuahua to the pier. And lo and behold look what she saw!

This morning the waves were extremely large, I guess from the passing storms. While we were at the pier this morning we saw this.
