While many of you up north are experiencing your fall season, we have no such thing here but instead experience a different change of seasons. At the moment we are going through a doldrum-like period of little to no breeze, high humidity and high temps. The ocean is so calm you could water-ski on it all the way out of the bay. The atmosphere has lost some of its clarity and has become somewhat hazy. And we come close to the end of the Horario de Verano, meaning it will soon be getting dark early. Back to the dust and the dirt and the smells that will linger until the next rains come in about 8 months to wash everything clean again. The wheel keeps turning and my media naranja and I just keep hoping it isn't our turn to fall off yet.

A solitary storm passes by far out at sea.

A Las Gatas family arrives at the pier to drop off their child at school and buy their daily goods.
