Muy Vivos en Zih

Last evening we received a surprising and extremely refreshing rain for a couple of hours. Probably the last one of the season. Had us scampering to get our laundry off the roof, but it made for simply delicious sleeping weather. Had to use some hot water in the shower. Even had to pull the bedsheet over me and turn the ceiling fan down! Brrr!

Like many families, we are getting our family gravesite spruced up for visiting on Día de Muertos. A solemn and very private tradition that is unfortunately losing ground and identity each year to the onslaught of US-dominated Jalogüin marketing madness. I notice already some foreigners celebrating the wrong cultural event here. Oh well.

Sailboats and cruisers are beginning to show up, most just passing through but a few spend some time here with us. Our bay is currently a tranquil jewel glimmering under the tropical sun. Just beautiful! The rain seems to have cleansed the sky a bit. ¡Bienvenidos a todos!
