Spider, scorpion, what was it?

Scorpions do not bite they sting. If multiple punctures unevenly spaced then just about 100% sure it's a scorpion.

Lots of ice initially and keep the body part elevated if at all possible. Numbness can last at times up to 6 months. If within 1 hour of sting, respiratory distress, blurred vision or lightheadedness and disorientation, seek medical help and possible anti-venoms.

Please excuse my imprecise terminology, Dave. Of course I know a scorpion STINGS. I've been stung by them probably more times than anyone else commenting here.
