The Circle of Zih

Some Guadalupanos are again strolling the streets at some ungodly morning hour chanting and singing as they march from the church dedicated to Guadalupe (Tonantzín) to the one that isn't. Holy parishioner theft, Batman!

Couldn't help but notice on our recent morning strolls the continued absence of police, the continued increase in refuse left by drunks on the beach and along the Paseo del Pescador, and now the municipal government has removed several of the very few garbage cans we still had along the entire Paseo del Pescador. Could they have been re-installed in some hillside colonias as part of the mayor's campaign of simulated government? El centro and Zihuatanejo's tourism infrastructure remain woefully neglected. Obviously the mayor isn't counting on our support for his re-election campaign.

The whales are back in our waters again. Anyone interested in seeing them up close (but not too close) from a boat should contact our dear friend Ramón Olea or any of the other charter services listed on my Activities page.
