Playa Larga taxis

Maybe it is all made up crap but the mob rules. We have a favorite taxi guy that takes us everywhere from the Azul Grand. I plan out trips in advance as he needs to get there and wait a minimum of an hour with the other taxis before he is allowed to pick us up. Then of course there are the rates that are charged to be picked up at the Azul Grand vs. Playa Linda. No chance of me going out there and trying to intervene, screw up his job and then fly home. As a 1 week per year guy I'm not looking to change the rules, I'll leave that to the locals as I don't expect tourists to fix the problems where I live. Es su problema no el mio.
