Eternally Zih

Lupita and I are thankful for each and every day we share together, and today is no exception. Strolling the waterfront and greeting friendly faces of old friends who are like family. Some whom Lupita taught to swim when they were children, others whom I taught English while they were growing up. Few things in life are as rewarding as being truly a part of one's community, lives and experiences intertwined, work and efforts that touch many, rewards in smiles and tears of love and loss, fates and fortunes shared as we all forge forward together riding this river of time.

This is a scene that always touches my heart. The fisherman also talks with the egret and slips it a fish which you can see large in the crook of its throat, like old friends bonded by their daily rituals. Such powerful and timeless beauty.

Zihuatanejo Bay comes to life much the same way every day, weather permitting. Since the weather is almost always perfect, the scene is all that much more familiar and comforting. Many families of hard-working people will enjoy the fruits of their labors thanks to our daily blessings. ¡Viva Zihuatanejo!
